The duel of opposites between table 2. Bruneck and bottom team Ridnauntal ended, as expected, with a clear victory for the Pusterers. The Fuschini team won 4-0 at home without much trouble. What was particularly outstanding this afternoon was Bruneck's Stefan Nagler, who almost single-handedly shot his team to victory over the table laggards from Wipptal with a hat-trick.
The spectators in Terlan, on the other hand, saw an exciting and balanced game. The team from the Etschtal valley welcomed the recently strong Salurner team, who beat Bruneck 2-1 last weekend. Shortly before half-time, Albenberger gave the home team the lead (44'). After the break, the guests started like fire engines and turned the game into a 2-1 lead within four minutes. The goals were scored by Simon Baldo (52nd) and his brother Christian Baldo (56th). Salurn has now overtaken Terlan in the table and is in fourth place.
Painful defeat
There was nothing to celebrate for the kickers from St. Martin in Passeier. The Mortiner coach, Stefan Gasser, moved from Schenna to St. Martin Moos in the summer. His team originally started the championship with promotion ambitions, but the reality is completely different: penultimate place in the state league table, four points away from salvation. The game didn't start too badly for St. Martin. After ex-St. Pauls striker Thomas Mair Schenna had put Schenna in front (25th), Lukas Hofer equalized just three minutes later (28th). Before the break he even hit the post, but then, after the break, disaster began . First Lukas Hofer was injured, then Kuppelwieser only hit the crossbar before Jakob Gögele - the bomber from Schenna - scored his team's victory in stoppage time with his 11th goal of the season. By the way, Pixner also got injured in the 90th minute.
Winless for 15 games
There is still no end to the misfortune and bad luck at the club from the Passeier Valley. The Gasser team has been waiting for a win for 15 (!) games now. St. Martin celebrated its last complete success on September 30th last year. At that time, the Mortiners managed a 2-1 away win at Schenna, of all places. In the last game of the day, Riffian Kuens and Milland played out a goalless draw. This division of points doesn't really help any team at the moment. Spechtenhauser came closest to scoring, but he only hit the crossbar in the 74th minute.
