Gries and Raas are promoted to the 2nd Amateur League

On Saturday, Gries and Raas were happy about their promotion to the 2nd amateur league.

On Saturday evening, the final match of the three-team runner-up group in the 3rd Amateur League was played at the Bozen parish hall. The match was to determine which two of the three teams would achieve promotion to the 2nd Amateur League – one team was left empty-handed.

Gries had already secured promotion with a 1-0 win against Raas. Unterland Berg, on the other hand, had only managed a 1-1 draw against Raas. This made the starting position clear: A point in their last match against Gries would have been enough for Unterland Berg to secure promotion. But things turned out differently: Unterland Berg suffered a decisive 0-5 defeat to the already qualified Gries.

Thanks to the better goal difference, Raas is now the second team to move into the higher league – Unterland Berg remains behind.

3rd Amateur League, three-team tournament for promotion

Raas – Gries 0:1
Unterland Berg – Raas 1:1
Gries – Unterland Berg 3:0
