Tizian Stecher was undoubtedly the rising star of the last Oberliga season. Although he only turned 17 in December, the striker from Mals scored a whopping 13 goals for Partschins – thus cementing his reputation as a super talent. Now Stecher is taking the next logical step and moving to FC Obermais in Serie D.
This marks another step in the youngster's career. A year ago – in the 2023/24 season – Stecher was still playing for Mals in the 2nd Amateur League, where, at the age of 16, he captured the attention of the entire Vinschgau football community. After moving to Partschins, Stecher hit the ground running, scoring 13 goals and becoming one of the league's top scorers.

It is understandable that FC Obermais, as a new Serie D club, has been trying to win Stecher's favor for some time, and now he has accepted. "The appeal of playing in this league is great. I'm looking forward to it," said the Vinschger in an interview with SportNews. At the same time, he adds: “It wasn’t an easy decision, as I felt very comfortable in Partschins.”
On July 22, FC Obermais' training for the new Serie D adventure begins, and Stecher will be there as well. Interestingly, because the young star doesn't yet have a driver's license, he will always travel to training sessions with his new teammate Marco Paulmichl. Paulmichl hails from Laatsch and, along with Stecher, now forms the Obervinschgau faction at FCO.
