What does Federico Valente actually do?

In November 2024, Federico Valente was dismissed from FC Südtirol. The former FCS coach then signed with Serie C. How did he feel about this?

At the beginning of February, Federico Valente signed a one-and-a-half-year contract with Lecco. At the time, the Lombardy club was in 16th place in the league table and in danger of relegation. Since then, Valente has stabilized Lecco and ultimately led them to a comfortable relegation from Serie C (District A).

With an average of 1,31 points, Valente led Lecco to 13th place. His contract with his former Serie B club runs until summer 2026. What will happen next with the 49-year-old Italian-Swiss is not yet clear.

Incidentally, Valente was head coach of FC Südtirol for eleven months, starting in December 2023. Last year, he led the White and Reds to relegation before being forced to step down in November. Marco Zaffaroni then took over briefly at FCS. Now, his successor, Fabrizio Castori, is on the verge of keeping South Tyrol's only professional club back in Serie B.
