From leisure to small field: The new national champions
On Saturday, the country's best footballers from the recreational, veterans, and small-sided categories met in Freienfeld and competed for the VSS/Raiffeisen state championship title. The recreational and small-sided cup finals took place for the first time as part of a joint final match day in Eppan/Rungg.

The new VSS/Raiffeisen recreational state champions are the players of ASV St. Pauls. In a thrilling match, the Pauls team won the final against FC Runcadic. ASV Plose won the VSS/Raiffeisen veterans' state championship title after a thrilling football match against SSV Taufers. The match ended in a 1-1 draw after regular time.
In the penalty shootout, the Eisacktal team had luck on their side and ultimately won 8:7. In the small-field category, the FC Selva team from Wolkenstein beat the club from Schnals 2:0.
For the first time, the cup finals were held at a different venue. At the Rungg sports zone in Eppan, Latsch defeated Gitschberg in the small-sided games, while St. Pauls defeated Steinegg. This allowed St. Pauls to win both titles this year.
